Description

David Brewster (11 December 1781 – 10 February 1868) was a British scientist and inventor. While he was in St Andrews, he contributed a lot to the field of photography. One of his most important achievements was the development of the “lenticular stereoscope”, with which someone could practically experience a photograph in 3D. The user could see two identical images through two different lenses and thus got the illusion of a 3D space. See also https://www.curious-sta.org/sir-david-brewster/
