Description

Sir D’Arcy Wentworth Thompson (1860-1948) was a biologist, zoologist, classicist, and the head of Natural History at the University of St Andrews for more than 30 years. In his more recognised book, 'On Growth and Form', he deduced that the science of life, Biology, can be described using Physics and therefore expressed in the form of mathematical equations. He was one of the first to claim that Physical Laws are affecting the characteristics of living beings. See also https://www.curious-sta.org/sir-darcy-wentworth-thompson/
